We are writing to raise awareness regarding a new, free educational resource developed by a group of cardiology fellows spanning the US to educate peers and other interested parties on the cardiovascular effects of SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19 disease.
This effort emerged out of a broader network of cardiovascular disease fellows, the COVID-19 Cardiology Coalition (CCC), which was initiated as a text-based chat group to connect trainees for rapid dissemination of evidence pertaining to the disease, institutional response/protocols, and case-based discussions. Out of approximately 250 fellows in the Coalition, 60-70 donated their time towards developing a guide on COVID-19 & Cardiology in hopes that it might be helpful to others.
We invite you to please review the website where the guide is hosted: covid19cardiology.com
It aims to provide coverage of general and subspecialty cardiology considerations when managing COVID-19 patients and persons-under-investigation. All included information is curated and maintained to be as up-to-date as possible, with direct links to source material embedded throughout.
We ask that you please consider distributing this message to your fellows, faculty, and other relevant medical professionals (including other program leaders nationwide) who may find this helpful for their reference. Any questions, comments, and/or concerns may be conveyed via the Contact tab on the website or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
