Sherri White joins VCSQI as the organization’s new Quality Improvement Advisor. She studied Business Administration at Notre Dame College. She later obtained her Masters in Science degree of Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University, Weatherhead School of Management. Sherri worked with the VCSQI SAN 2.0 grant program, helping enrolled practices achieve improved health outcomes and reduced costs while preparing clinicians for value-based reimbursement models. Prior to joining VCSQI, she has functioned in various administrative and operational capacities for major healthcare organizations such as the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She specializes in designing process improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency by utilizing knowledge obtained as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
VCSQI practices will work closely with Sherri to develop and implement collaborative quality improvement projects for both cardiology and cardiac surgery programs. Using change management strategies, coaching techniques and performance improvement tool, Sherri will support the practice team’s assessment of current processes and identification of gaps; help select appropriate structural and process interventions that address identified gaps; and implement and monitor practices to sustain change.
With Sherri’s assistance, VCSQI will add to its membership totals and drive engagement within member programs. VCSQI will grow its capacity to analyze practice and hospital processes and implement best practice protocols. With this strengthened collaborative basis, VCSQI will assume an expanded role promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement for the Commonwealth’s entire cardiac services community.
