Winter Quarterly Meeting
On December 9th, over 40 participants convened to focus on Acute Kidney Injury. During this forum the VCSQI AKI Workgroup unveiled a comprehensive set of Guidelines for prevention of AKI in cardiac patients.
Members of the VCSQI Quality Committee meet to discuss protocols and procedures around hyperglycemia, pre-op anemia, and much more.
Participants were asked about their interest in participating in the CSU-ALS training program. UVA and Carilion are training sites.
Evelyn “Eve” Dallas, CCP, Champion of the Perfusion Group, introduced members to preliminary perfusion metrics as a potential tool to measure success and assess best practices.
In addition, the finishing touches were put in place for the upcoming RAP survey to better understand perfusion practices across the collaborative.
